Haute Afrika offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all our terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here. Please read this agreement carefully before proceeding.

You may not use our products for any illegal or unauthorized purpose nor may you, in the use of the Service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws).

 

A breach or violation of any of the Terms will result in an immediate termination of our Services to you and could lead to legal action being taken.

We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part or content thereof) without notice at any time. We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of a particular product before you have confirmed purchase.

Certain products or services may be available exclusively online through the website and others on our social media platforms. These products or services may have limited quantities and are subject to return or exchange only according to our Return Policy.

 

We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colors and images of our products as they appear at our stores. We cannot guarantee that your computer monitor's display of any color will be accurate.

 

SECTION 4- ACCURACY OF BILLING AND ACCOUNT INFORMATION

 

You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made at our store. You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including your email address and credit card numbers and expiration dates, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed. Any user ID and password you may have for this Website are confidential and you must maintain confidentiality as well.

SECTION 8: ORDER ACCEPTANCE

Please note that there may be certain orders that we are unable to accept and must cancel. Haute Afrika reserves the right, at sole discretion, to refuse or cancel any order for any reason. Some situations that may result in your order being cancelled include limitations on quantities available for purchase, inaccuracies or errors in product or pricing information, or problems identified by our credit and fraud avoidance department. We may also require additional verifications or information before accepting any order. In the event that we make a change to or cancel an order or require additional information, we may attempt to notify you by contacting the e-mail and/or billing address/phone number provided at the time the order was made.

Both parties agree that, following order dispatch, transportation is the sole responsibility of the third-party logistics company. During this stage, full ownership of the product(s) belongs to the buyer; all associated liability and risks during transportation shall be borne by the buyer.

SECTION 9: PERSONAL INFORMATIONS  

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. We follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

These Terms will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the South African law without regard to conflicts of laws principles.

PRIVACY STATEMENT

SECTION 1 - WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?

 When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.

Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.

 

SECTION 2 - CONSENT

How do you get my consent?

 When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

 

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

 

How do I withdraw my consent?

 If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at anytime, by contacting us at hauteafrika@gmail.com.

 

SECTION 3 - DISCLOSURE 

We may disclose your personal information such as your contact details and address to third parties ie Couriering/Shipping agency’s for delivery purposes only. If we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service we may disclose your personal information.

 

RETURNS

Here at Haute Afrika we strive to provide amazing product and guarantee 100% customer satisfaction. We perform very strict quality control inspections on all our products before we ship them to you. Our return policy lasts 15 days for exchanges and 5 days for refunds. We are always happy to serve you!

 To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused/unworn/unwashed and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Such as accessories, intimates, beauty products, hair products, items on Sale and Custom made orders. Haute Afrika does not refund or exchange items based on a “I changed my mind basis”. There needs to be defects . 

REFUND /EXCHANGE PROCEDURE STEPS

Send email to Hauteafrika@gmail.com with;

  1. Proof of purchase
  2. Proof of defects (you may send pictures or videos showing defaults). Please kindly note that ordering the wrong size is not a defect.If the wrong size was ordered we will happily exchange the outfit/s for you. If there is a defect then a refund can apply.
  3. We will then study your case and resolve it.
  4. If Return request is approved and you have received our return form.
  5. You may proceed with returning/shipping the item
  6. Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item.
  7. Your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a 15 working days.

 

LATE OR MISSING REFUNDS

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company , it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at hauteafrika@gmail.com.

SHIPPING RETURNS

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. If you are shipping an item over $75/ R1000 you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

I RECEIVED THE WRONG ITEM/PACKAGE/SIZE

Please follow our return procedure steps to contact us as described above:

Our sizing chart is available in the size chart section. Please make sure you check it before confirming your orders. We also realize that that in the textile industry, we may observe minor size differences between different brands and manufacturers. We consider an items size as incorrect when there 6cm (2.5inches) difference or more between the item's actual size and the size indicated in the size chart. If we made a mistake by sending you the wrong size: We will either refund you in full or resend you the correct size or send you an item with an alternative size (if applicable) given we receive or garment back.

We seek to resolve all disputes in an amicable manner to ensure customer satisfaction.

 

 SOME ITEMS ARE MISSING

 Please be sure to open and check the contents carefully before signing for the package. Contact us and provide clear photographs showing the product packaging (box), the shipping label on the box, your order number and SKU (product) number. If we made a mistake, we will resend the missing item free of charge within the warranty period.
